Friends of The Sound Faction!
Welcome to our new Friends page! Throughout our two years we made some great friends with many of the bands we support, and this is our way of pimping them out just a little further. These are the people we love and admire. This is our collection of people and bands that we feel deserve an extra little push! It's that whole back-scratching scenario, yannow? We urge you to check out the following links and immerse yourself in some awesome new music!
My Chemical Romance
My Chemical Romance is a Jersey rock band. But you knew that, because it's very difficult to be a fan of music and not have heard about this band before! Love 'em or Hate 'em, you can't deny that you know 'em. Little known fact: The Sound Faction staff was brought together by this band, and there's a whole story about how a conversation with Gerard Way spawned this website. But you'll have to ask Manda about that.

Suburban Legends
Suburban Legends has been an important band to us for a very long time. Not only on the site level, but on personal levels as well. Suburban Legends were the first band to give us a chance for our first face-to-face interview, and to give us a shot at a follow up as well! On personal levels, they've been a rock for Caity to fall back on for the last decade, have brought us closer together as staff and best friends, and have given us amazing music to jam out to all the while!

The Maine
We have so many awesome memories with each other involving The Maine (directly and indirectly) that we just couldn't possibly leave them out of this section! The amount of time that we've sat around chatting about music together and cracking jokes and bonding over this band and stories centering around this band are countless and priceless!

The Cab
The cab has been one of those bands for us that gives us all stories to tell around our virtual dinner table. We've had a couple interviews with them thus far and they have been nothing if not entertaining!

We The Kings
Much like the rest of these bands listed here, We The Kings is very near and dear to our hearts. They are one of those bands that we all just absolutely adore. Caity and Jordan have had an amazing spur of the moment road trip bonding moment over them, Jen laughs so hard she starts crying a little bit everytime she regales us with stories from interviews we've done, or random videos she's seen on YouTube, and we all just have a great time listening to and talking about these guys.

Melee
Unfortunately, we have not yet gotten a chance to talk to Melee and do an interview. So why are they on this friends list? Because we think that they are important enough to us, and what we do to give them a little extra nudge of attention. There are a few of those on our list for you guys! So if you haven't heard of Melee, be sure to check out their links and familiarize yourself!

Marianas Trench
Marianas Trench is another band that just brings us all together. We wouldn't be the staff we are now without this band (whose interviews with us inspired dear sweet Linzy to e-mail us out of the blue one day). We are all so vastly different from each other, but at the same time, when we all love something, great amazing things come of it.

LIGHTS
Okay let's just get right to it: is anyone on the entire planet more adorable than LIGHTS? Because we're thinkin' NO! We love everything about her, from her comic book look, to her WoW obsession, and yes, even her pet tarantula! Manda had a nerd-out moment with LIGHTS in a coffee shop in Toronto during our interview with her, which is totally adorable.

Bowling For Soup
Bowling For Soup is another one of those bands that we are just waiting for the right time to try and get ahold of. We have promoted them around the site quite a bit (not that they need promoting, becuase let's face it, Bowling For Soup is internationally awesome!). One day, we will get our chance to talk to BFS, and when it goes down, hold on tight, because it promises to be a great time!

Aberdeen
Aberdeen is a young band that we've worked with in the past. We adore these guys, and they are just straight-forward cool dudes. We had a great time chatting with them in Toronto, and their music is something that more people should be part of!

The Fold
The Fold is one of those bands that we would love to work with someday in the near future! They are local to Chicago, and had a huge part in Caity's love to local-scenes (no matter where she goes). They are a feel-good, amazing band, and mark our words, someday soon you'll be seeing more of them around our site!

There For Tomorrow
There For Tomorrow is another band that we just can't not put on here! We've had the pleasure of working with them in the past, and even though Maika almost got beamed by a car during our interview, we enjoyed every second of it! They are awesome guys, and funny to boot.

Isle of Thieves
Every so often we get emails from bands asking us to check out their MySpace profiles, listen to their music and let them know what we think. It was on such occasion that we heard of Isle of Thieves, and fell in love with them. Jen and Manda got a chance to chat with them and had an absolute blast, and they are just one of those bands that we are constantly passing along to friends and family.

Seventh Gear
Seventh Gear is a Hard Rock/Metal band based out of Guelph, Ontario. You might not have heard of them, or you might have, depending on if you follow the website. They were encountered on a random myspace crawl and after an interview they have been in constant contact with us updating us on their shows and progress. Friendships form in the oddest of places and we're glad to have a friendship with this band.
